Healthy skin starts with a consistent daily routine. Beautiful, healthy-looking skin doesn't necessarily require a complicated 10-step skincare routine. What matters most is choosing the right products, applying them in the correct order, and maintaining consistency.

At Reviva Laser Skin Clinic, we believe that an effective skincare routine should focus on four essential goals:

  • Cleanse: Remove impurities while maintaining a healthy skin barrier.

  • Brighten: Improve uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and dullness.

  • Protect: Defend against UV damage and environmental stressors.

  • Repair & Renew: Support skin recovery, hydration, and healthy cell turnover.

Your skin has different needs throughout the day. In the morning, the priority is protection and prevention. At night, the focus shifts toward repair, renewal, and recovery. Here is our recommended daily skincare routine.

☀️ Morning Skincare Routine: Protect, Brighten & Hydrate

Your morning skincare routine prepares your skin for the day ahead. It helps maintain hydration, provides antioxidant protection, and reduces the effects of sun exposure and environmental stress.

Step 1: Hydrating Wash – Gentle Cleansing

Recommended Product: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

Start your morning with a gentle, hydrating cleanser to remove overnight oil, sweat, and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which help support the skin's protective barrier while maintaining hydration.

Benefits:

  • Gently removes impurities

  • Maintains skin hydration

  • Supports the natural skin barrier

  • Suitable for normal to dry and sensitive skin

Tip: Avoid washing your face with very hot water, as this can increase dryness and irritation.

Step 2: Niacinamide Mist – Brighten & Balance

Recommended Product: Histolab Whiteness Lightening Mist

After cleansing, apply a lightweight facial mist to refresh and hydrate the skin. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a valuable skincare ingredient that can help improve uneven skin tone, strengthen the skin barrier, and reduce the appearance of pigmentation over time.

Benefits of niacinamide:

  • Helps improve uneven pigmentation

  • Supports a brighter, more even complexion

  • Strengthens the skin's moisture barrier

  • Helps reduce visible redness

  • Supports overall skin health

A facial mist can also provide lightweight hydration before applying treatment serums.

Step 3: Antioxidant Serum – Target Your Skin Concerns

Choose one of the following products based on your skin's needs.

Option A: Vivier Radiance Serum – For Pigmentation & Dark Spots

Radiance Serum is formulated to target uneven skin tone, visible pigmentation, and signs of photoaging. Its combination of vitamin C, arbutin, and resorcinol helps improve skin brightness and reduce the appearance of dark spots.

Ideal for:

  • Sunspots and uneven pigmentation

  • Dull or uneven skin tone

  • Visible signs of photoaging

  • Patients looking to maintain a brighter complexion

With consistent use, Radiance Serum can help promote a more radiant and even-looking complexion.

Option B: Vivier C E Peptides – For Antioxidant Protection & Anti-Aging

Vivier C E Peptides combines vitamin C with antioxidant ingredients and peptides to support healthy-looking skin. Vitamin C helps protect against oxidative stress and plays an important role in normal collagen production.

Ideal for:

  • Early signs of skin aging

  • Fine lines and loss of radiance

  • Environmental stress

  • General skin maintenance and antioxidant protection

Which serum should you choose?

If pigmentation and dark spots are your primary concerns, Radiance Serum may be more suitable.

If your focus is antioxidant protection, overall skin quality, and healthy aging, C E Peptides is another excellent option.

Step 4: Centella Green Cream – Soothe & Moisturize

Recommended Product: Histolab Centella Green Cream

Moisturizing is an essential part of maintaining healthy skin, even for individuals with oily or combination skin.Centella asiatica is widely used in skincare for its soothing properties and ability to support skin barrier recovery.

Benefits:

  • Helps calm sensitive skin

  • Provides essential moisture

  • Supports the skin barrier

  • Helps relieve dryness and discomfort

A well-hydrated skin barrier is particularly important for patients undergoing aesthetic treatments, as dry or irritated skin may be more sensitive to procedures.

Step 5: Sunscreen – The Most Important Anti-Aging Step

Recommended Products: Vivier Sheer SPF 45 or Sheer SPF 30 Mineral

Sunscreen is one of the most important products in any skincare routine.

Daily exposure to ultraviolet radiation contributes to premature skin aging, pigmentation, fine lines, and loss of skin elasticity.Consistent sunscreen use is also essential for maintaining the results of treatments targeting pigmentation and photoaging.

Option A: Vivier Sheer SPF 45

A lightweight, broad-spectrum sunscreen suitable for everyday sun protection.

Benefits:

  • Broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection

  • Lightweight formulation

  • Contains antioxidants

  • Helps prevent UV-related skin damage

Option B: Vivier Sheer SPF 30 Mineral

A mineral-based sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum protection.

Benefits:

  • Mineral UV filters

  • Suitable for individuals who prefer mineral sunscreen

  • Provides daily protection against UVA and UVB rays

Important: Apply sunscreen generously every morning and reapply approximately every two hours when outdoors, especially after swimming or sweating. For patients with melasma or persistent pigmentation, a tinted sunscreen containing iron oxides may provide additional protection against visible light.

🌙 Nighttime Skincare Routine: Repair, Renew & Restore

While your morning routine focuses on protection, your nighttime routine is an opportunity to support skin renewal and address specific concerns such as pigmentation, fine lines, redness, and dryness.

Step 1: Hydrating Wash – Remove the Day's Impurities

Recommended Product: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

At night, cleansing helps remove sunscreen, makeup, excess oil, and environmental pollutants accumulated throughout the day. A gentle cleanser helps prepare the skin for treatment products without disrupting its natural barrier. If you wear heavy makeup or water-resistant sunscreen, an additional gentle cleansing step may be helpful.

Step 2: Niacinamide Mist – Hydrate & Support the Skin Barrier

Recommended Product: Histolab Whiteness Lightening Mist

After cleansing, apply your facial mist to refresh and hydrate the skin. Niacinamide can complement a nighttime skincare routine by helping support barrier function and improve uneven skin tone.

This step prepares the skin for subsequent skincare products.

Step 3: Targeted Treatment – Pigmentation or Skin Renewal

Choose the product that best addresses your primary skin concern.

Option A: La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum – For Dark Spots & Pigmentation

Mela B3 Serum is formulated to improve the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone. It contains Melasyl and niacinamide, ingredients designed to address visible discoloration and support a more even complexion.

Ideal for:

  • Dark spots

  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Persistent visible discoloration

Consistent use may help improve skin clarity and reduce the appearance of pigmentation over time.

Option B: Vivier Retinol 0.5% / 1% – For Skin Renewal & Anti-Aging

Retinol is a vitamin A derivative widely used in skincare to improve skin texture, fine lines, and visible signs of aging. It works by supporting skin cell turnover and collagen production.

Benefits:

  • Improves the appearance of fine lines

  • Helps refine uneven skin texture

  • Supports collagen production

  • Helps reduce the appearance of some pigmentation

  • Promotes smoother-looking skin

How to introduce retinol safely:

Start gradually, typically two nights per week, and increase frequency as tolerated. Retinol 0.5% may be appropriate for some patients already familiar with retinoids, while 1% is generally better suited to experienced users who tolerate lower strengths well. Beginners may need a lower concentration. Apply to completely dry skin and follow with moisturizer.

Retinol may initially cause dryness, peeling, or irritation. Avoid applying it to compromised or irritated skin. Retinoids should be avoided during pregnancy or when planning pregnancy, unless specifically advised otherwise by a qualified healthcare professional.

Important: Mela B3 and retinol are presented as alternative treatment choices in this routine. Patients should select their products based on skin tolerance and professional guidance.

Step 4: Repair Cream – Restore & Calm the Skin

Choose Cell Cream or K Cream based on your skin's condition.

Option A: Histolab Cell Cream – Barrier Repair & Recovery

Cell Cream is designed to support skin hydration and recovery, particularly when the skin feels dry or compromised.

Benefits:

  • Supports skin barrier recovery

  • Helps maintain moisture

  • Soothes dryness and discomfort

  • Supports healthier-looking skin

It may be particularly useful during periods when the skin needs additional moisturizing care.

Option B: Histolab K Cream – For Redness & Sensitive Skin

K Cream is formulated for skin prone to visible redness and sensitivity.

Benefits:

  • Helps soothe sensitive skin

  • Reduces the appearance of redness

  • Supports skin comfort

  • Provides moisturizing care

K Cream may be especially suitable for patients experiencing temporary visible redness or irritation.

For patients recovering from laser, IPL, or RF microneedling procedures, post-treatment products should always be selected according to the clinician's aftercare instructions.

Step 5: Centella Red Cream – Overnight Moisture & Recovery

Recommended Product: Histolab Centella Red Cream

Complete your nighttime routine with Centella Red Cream as the final moisturizing step.

This cream can be used as an overnight moisturizing mask to help maintain hydration and support skin comfort while you sleep.

Benefits:

  • Provides overnight hydration

  • Helps soothe dry or sensitive skin

  • Supports the skin's protective barrier

  • Helps skin feel softer and smoother by morning

Apply an appropriate layer as the final step of your nighttime routine.

Why a Consistent Skincare Routine Matters

Many people invest in professional aesthetic treatments but underestimate the importance of daily skincare. At Reviva Laser Skin Clinic, we emphasize that professional treatments and consistent home skincare work together.

Treatments such as IPL, fractional lasers, RF microneedling, and skin-tightening procedures target specific skin concerns, while a well-designed skincare routine helps maintain the skin barrier and support long-term skin health.

A consistent routine may help:

  • Maintain hydration and skin barrier function

  • Reduce the appearance of uneven pigmentation

  • Protect against additional UV-related damage

  • Support smoother and healthier-looking skin

  • Maintain improvements achieved through professional treatments

However, skincare should always be adjusted around aesthetic procedures. Products containing retinol or other potentially irritating active ingredients may need to be paused before and after treatment according to your clinician's instructions.

How to Choose the Right Products for Your Skin

Not everyone needs the same skincare routine. Your ideal products depend on your skin type, sensitivity, pigmentation, and treatment history.
