Thulium 1972 Laser
What is Thulium 1972 Laser?

The 1972‑nanometer Thulium laser is a skin resurfacing technology that emits near‑infrared light in the ~1.97 µm wavelength range. It is designed to deliver fractional, non‑ablative micro‑thermal injury to the upper layers of the skin (primarily the epidermis and superficial dermis), stimulating remodeling, improving pigmentation, texture, and skin tone—with reduced downtime compared to ablative lasers.
How It Works?

-
Wavelength & Chromophore
At ~1972 nm, the laser light is absorbed very efficiently by water, which is abundant in skin tissue. Because water is the main target, the energy is confined relatively superficially: the epidermis and upper dermis are affected, which allows for controlled thermal injury without large zones of tissue removal.

-
Fractional & Non‑Ablative Mode
The device treats the skin in a fractional pattern—creating many microscopic zones (microthermal zones, MTZs) of controlled damage surrounded by intact tissue. This allows healing through the undamaged areas, which accelerates recovery. The non‑ablative nature means the epidermis is mostly preserved (no removal of the full thickness of the outer skin), so downtime is shorter and risks like infection or scarring are lower than with full ablative lasers.

Targets Pigmentation Issues
Stimulates Collagen Production
Improves Overall Radiance
Improves Skin Texture & Tone
Non-Ablative Treatment
Minimal Downtime
Safe for All Skin Types
Non-Ablative Treatment
What can I expect after the treatment?
After the treatment, you can expect some redness that typically lasts for about 3–5 days. Tiny scabs may also form during this time, which is a normal part of the healing process. These scabs will naturally fall off within a few days, revealing healthier skin underneath.
How soon will I see results?
Improvement can be seen after 5-7 days.
How many treatments will I need?
On average, 3 treatments are needed.
