WHAT IS PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is the process of using patient’s own plasma towards healing and regeneration. We perform this treatment for cosmetic purposes to bring vitality and smoothness to the skin.
PRP contains many proteins called growth factors. It prompts tissues regeneration and new blood vessels creation, improving the health and texture of skin.
During this procedure, blood is drawn from the patient and placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets. The plasma is extracted and applied topically to your skin, it can also be injected by the doctor into areas of need such as acne scars.

What happens after the treatment?

Swelling and slight bruising are common side effects. However, some patients do not experience any side effects at all.
